Quick start

Your first video, from an empty workspace to an exported MP4, in six steps.

1. Set up a brand profile

A brand profile holds what stays the same on a channel: its name, voice, graphics style, captions and colours. The first time you sign in, PointShift asks for one. You can change it later in Brand profiles.

2. Give it your words

On Home, do one of these:

• Paste a script, or press + and choose Custom script to add a file.
• Describe the video and say how long it should be, for example “a 12-minute documentary about the Panama Canal”.
• Press + and choose Custom audio to upload your own voiceover.

Pick the brand profile, then send.

3. Choose a voice

Play a few voices and pick one, or use one you cloned. Then press Continue to style. If you uploaded your own audio, this step is skipped.

4. Choose a style

Pick a graphics theme and the transitions you want, then press Continue to Review.

5. Review and generate

Check the title, thumbnail and cost. Nothing is charged until you press Generate video.

6. Edit and export

The progress page shows each step as it runs. You can close the tab. When the video is ready, press Open editor, change anything you want, then press Export. Your first export of each video is free.
