How credits work

What a video costs, when credits are taken, and when they come back.

100 credits make one finished minute of video. Credits come with your plan each month. You need at least 50 credits to start a video.

What a video costs

Each part of a video has its own rate, in credits:

Part Per finished minute 10-minute video
Voiceover 10 100
B-roll footage 75 750
Motion graphics 10 100
Music 5 50
Total 100 1,000

Parts you turn off cost nothing. A video with No graphics skips the graphics cost. A video from your own audio skips the voiceover, at 90 credits a minute.

When credits are taken

The cost on the review page is an estimate from the script’s length. When you press Generate video:

  1. The estimate is taken, plus 20% in case the voice reads slowly.
  2. Once the voiceover is recorded, the real length is known. Whatever wasn’t needed comes back.

You see each charge and refund on the video’s progress page, and in Analytics under Credit log.

When credits come back

What happened Credits back
A step failed That step’s credits
A step never ran That step’s credits
Footage was found for only part of the video The part with no footage
You left the queue All of them
You cancelled a build Steps that hadn’t started. A step under way is charged.
An export failed or you stopped it That export’s credits

Editing costs

Most editing is free. These cost credits once the free ones on a video are used:

Action Free per video After that
Draw again (a graphic) 5 for every 3 minutes 5 credits each
Regenerate a voice line 10 for every minute 1 credit each
Export The first export 1 credit per finished minute
Changing a graphic’s style or colours Always free —
Bingo requests Set by your plan 1 credit per 10 requests

Every paid button shows its price before you press it.

Unused credits

Credits left at the end of the month roll over, up to one month’s worth of your plan’s credits. Credits aren’t sold on their own. For more, move to a bigger plan. See Plans and billing.
